Things I Thought I’d Grow Out Of

At some point, I really thought being an adult meant waking up at 6, journaling with green juice in hand, and filing my taxes without tears. Instead… I’m over here Googling “how many times can you reheat coffee before it’s toxic.”

And honestly, I know I’m not the only one. So let’s talk about the stuff we all thought we’d grow out of, but absolutely haven’t:

  • Socks disappearing in the wash. Every. Single. Time. Where do they go? Is there a sock dimension somewhere with all my missing hair ties?

  • Telling myself “I’ll remember that.” Spoiler: I never do.

  • Dinner. Every night at 7 I open the fridge like something new will appear. Still hasn’t.

  • Skincare routines. I own serums, does that count?

  • Carrying way too much “just in case” stuff. But honestly, this one’s smart. It’s why my Harp + Ra tote is glued to my side. If I’m going to be a walking lost-and-found of snacks, receipts, and rogue crayons, at least it looks good doing it.

Some things change, some things don’t. And if you’re still out here with mismatched socks and granola bars in your bag, same. You’re fine. You’re doing great.
